The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government declares four-day holiday break from July 30 (Thursday) until August 2 (Sunday) this year, in celebration of Eid-al-Adha.
Eid-al-Adha is a festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham) faithful obedience to Allah by sacrificing everything even his own son Ishmael. During the feast family would sacrifice a cow or a ram and share within their family, relatives and the poor. This is done by the Muslims to acknowledge Ibrahim’s obedience. Happy Eid Al Adha to everyone!
